Just like the Year 5/6 class, Year 4/5 have been writing sizzling starts to persuasive speeches. Persuasive protest speeches! We have been working on our use of persuasive language features, such as emotive language, rhetorical questions, metaphor, alliteration, rhythm and rhyme. Here are a few for you to sample: Evthoxia Lynch — Teacher Are you a girl who is sick of getting teased about doing stuff 'like a girl' and being told that boys are better than girls? Girls are equal! God made us that way. So keep it that way. Be the girl that you are and don't try to be someone you are not just because someone says you do things 'like a girl'.
