Welcome back to Term 2

But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. Isaiah 40:31 (NIV)

As we stand on the threshold of a new term, these words from Isaiah remind us of the source of our strength and renewal. The imagery of soaring on wings like eagles speaks to the heights we can reach when we place our trust in God. As educators, parents and community members, we often face challenges that can leave us feeling weary or faint-hearted. Yet, God promises to renew our strength when we place our hope in Him.

As I reflected over the holiday period of the past term there were moments of triumph and joy, but also times of difficulty and weariness. Each experience has shaped us and prepared us for what lies ahead. Just as eagles rely on the thermals to lift them higher, we too can rely on God's promises and His presence to lift us above the challenges we may face.

Application:

• Hope in the Lord: Encourage each other to anchor our hope in God, knowing that He is faithful and His plans for us are good.

• Renewal of Strength: Take time to reflect on what rejuvenates us personally—whether it's through prayer, connecting with colleagues, or finding moments of quiet reflection. Let's commit to nurturing these sources of renewal.

• Soaring on Wings like Eagles: Challenge ourselves to approach this term with renewed vigour and a sense of purpose. Let's support each other in striving for excellence and inspiring our students to reach their fullest potential.
