The Power of Prayer
We have recently come out of the Global Week of 24/7 Prayer. This beautiful initiative brings Christians across nations and denominations together in unbroken, day-and-night prayer. This year’s theme, “At the Name of Jesus,” was based on Philippians 2:9–11 and was lived out through physical prayer rooms open day and night, real-time prayer calls and daily devotional guides.
Prayer is such a powerful gift. It is an opportunity to bring our worries, hopes, celebrations and needs before our loving God, trusting that He hears us and is at work, even when we cannot see what He is doing.
You may not know that every Wednesday, our staff gather in the staffroom to pray specifically for our students. We have a prayer list, and each student, one per week, is prayed for by their classroom teacher.
There is something incredibly special about beginning our day this way. As we pray, we make space to listen to God, and we often find ourselves prompted to pray for particular families or situations. We lean into those prompts, trusting that God knows exactly what is needed.
What a privilege it is to pray for our students and families! We are blessed to be part of a community where we can bring one another before the Lord.
