Last week, our Athletics Carnival transformed the school oval into a lively mix of colour and competition. Students arrived buzzing with excitement as house tents filled with chants and friendly rivalry. We kicked off the day with track events, where students showed their team spirit by cheering one another on and giving their best in every race. It was wonderful to see the encouragement they offered each other. Throughout the morning, they also took part in some challenges, including a special dance to earn extra points for their houses.
Before long, the afternoon novelty events began. Students rotated through activities such as Tug of War, Vortex, Sack Races and Long Jump. The oval became a bustling outdoor playground as everyone moved enthusiastically from station to station. At the end of the day, the school gathered to hear the final results. You could have heard a pin drop as students waited in suspense. Drum roll please… the winning house was DISCOVERY! In truth, both houses helped make the day a success. Their encouragement, respect for other athletes and wholehearted participation were admirable. What a privilege it is to enjoy community events like this, where we recognise and celebrate the God‑given abilities of our students. We praise and thank God our Father for a wonderful day and a community where we can learn to love and serve one another just as He has loved us in Christ. John Pluck - PE Teacher
